With the weather heating up in the Garden State of New Jersey, I am constantly on the look-out for activities that allow for our family to be outdoors. Our lives tend to be super busy Monday-Friday, so on the weekends, we like to take it easy and relax.
Pat and I lived in Edgewater, NJ for a few years right before we got married (while we were engaged), and really loved the area as it has a ton to offer, especially the city views which (in my opinion) are the best from the NJ side of the river. Our family loves to eat, shop and get pampered – so finding someplace that offers everything in one place is key and so convenient.
City Place at The Promenade is the perfect combination of shops, dinning and relaxation. This adorable shopping plaza has a ton to offer – and was always my go-to for all my essentials, from home decor, to beauty and fashion when I lived right down the road. I usually found myself frequenting City Place 1-2 times during an average week.
Today is the perfect day to share some weekend inspiration, and some of my favorite stores. I found some amazing home decor finds for Summer which will be linked via this post (continue reading if you can’t wait to see what I found), or head to City Place at The Promenade this weekend to score some amazing deals like I did. I’m also sharing some ideas for end of the year teacher gifts below as well.
Okay…Where to begin?! I’m breaking it down for you by dining, shopping and relaxation below!
Baumgart’s Cafe is the perfect spot for lunch and/or dinner (or both)! Located at the very far end of The Promenade, you can dine in or out, and honestly either way you’ll have the best views of the Manhattan Skyline. I recommend their classic sushi rolls, refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails, and ice-cream for dessert [if you still have room]. Baumgart’s Cafe also has a great space indoors for any type of event you’d want to throw (think baby shower, bridal shower, 30th Birthday, etc..).
City Place has tons of great shops to explore, ranging from home decor, to beauty and fashion. Some of my personal favorites are Anthropologie, LOFT, Express, Charming Charlie, GAP, Bath & Body Works, Ulta and Pier1 Imports.
Check out my Anthropologie dressing room try-on HERE!
Anthropologie is my favorite store for home, clothing and GIFTS! Think of the amazing end of school year gifts you could do for teachers and instructors using these adorable ($10) subway tile-inspired initial mugs. Get them either in-store, or HERE.
Anyone else crushing on this pillow as much as I am?! Get it either in-store, or HERE.
I also found a ton of amazing home decor finds such as the Gingham line from B&BW, and some great outdoor furniture from Pier1. I’ve been wanting to try the Wallflower line from B&BW as well! Did you know that they come dual-scented now? Which means they switch off and on between two different scents and last twice as long. I chatted with the staff at B&BW for a while, and they were the nicest and friendliest ever! Look how cute they are below!
Hand and Stone Massage & Facial Spa is the perfect place to wind down after a fun day of shopping.
Have you ever visited City Place at The Promenade?
I highly recommend for a fun day out and about in New Jersey!
